As the Cotswold leaves begin to turn golden and the crisp September air rolls in, there’s no better time to settle in at The Bakers Arms. Think local ales, seasonal plates, and the warm glow of September.
Seasonal Plates with Heart
Our kitchen is pouring autumn flavour back into your plate all September long. Expect dishes with serious comfort and seasonal flair:
Dry-Aged Beef Burger: Topped with bacon, pickles, cheese, burger sauce and crisp fries, a proper pub classic with extra soul.
Oxtail & French Onion Soup: Rich and warming, served with a gruyère croute that melts beautifully with every spoonful.
Half‑Roast Chicken: Juicy, fragrant with lemon and thyme, paired with fries and saffron aioli for a golden twist.
Fish & Chips: Beer-battered haddock with the lot, pea purée and proper tartare on the side.
Smoked Haddock Croquetas: Crisp bites served with sharp mustard mayo, perfect with a pint in hand.
Roasts Made for Sunday
Sunday Lunch at The Bakers is the cornerstone of autumn weekends. Every roast, whether Tops of Cotswold Beef, Chicken Supreme, or Roast Loin of Pork, comes with all the trimmings: roast potatoes, gravy, Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower & leek cheese, savoy cabbage, honey-roasted roots, and vibrant beetroot-carrot-swede purée. All you need is good company and a cosy corner.
