f there’s one thing we’re lucky to have in Broad Campden, it’s the walks. Nestled in the rolling Cotswolds, our village is the kind of place that makes you want to lace up your boots, grab your dog, and head out for a stroll through the countryside.

Of course, no good walk is complete without a proper feed at the end of it.

Here are our top 5 favourite walks around Broad Campden, and exactly what to eat and drink after them.

1. Broad Campden to Chipping Campden Circular

The Walk:Starting from the heart of Broad Campden, this 3-mile circular route takes you through fields, dry stone walls, and postcard-perfect views into neighbouring Chipping Campden. Pop into a few galleries, admire the Market Hall, and loop back along the Cotswold Way.

Reward at The Bakers Arms:You’ve earned something hearty. Go for the Bakers Beer Battered Fish & Chips, with Pea Puree.

2. Broad Campden to Hidcote Gardens

The Walk:This 5.5-mile round trip meanders through shaded paths and open meadows to the iconic Hidcote Manor Gardens (National Trust), with a little side stroll to Kiftsgate Court for the garden lovers. Best in spring and summer,  on a Sunday afternoon.

Reward at The Bakers Arms:You’ll want something as elegant as the gardens themselves. The Topside of Cotswold Beef, served with gravy, roast potatoes, and of course, a yorkshire pudding. Why not round it off with a Sticky Toffee Pudding.

3. Campden Tunnel Walk

The Walk:

This gentle 4-mile walk explores the lesser-known paths and lanes behind Broad Campden, with views over the disused railway tunnel that once linked the village to the world beyond. Peaceful, quiet, and perfect at golden hour.

Reward at The Bakers Arms:This one calls for the Dry-aged Beer Burger, stacked bacon, pickles, cheese & a side of fries. Wash it down with a local ale.

4. The Dover’s Hill Loop

The Walk:A hill with a view. Dover’s Hill is famous for the Cotswold Olimpicks, and offers panoramic views that stretch for miles. This 2.5-mile loop is short but steep enough to get your lungs going.

Reward at The Bakers Arms:

Our Half Roast Chicken, Lemon & Thyme, Fries 7 Saffron Aioli hits the spot. And if the sun’s out, we won’t blame you for chasing it down with a cold one in the garden.

5. The “We Don’t Want to Walk That Far” Amble

The Walk:Start at our door, wander through Broad Campden’s quiet lanes, past the beautiful 17th-century Quaker Meeting House, loop around the neighbouring fields, and be back in time for your booking. Perfect for pre-lunch guilt reduction.

Reward at The Bakers Arms:

Treat yourself and share some light bites. From our famous scotch egg to our smoked haddock croquetas and Tariflette chips. You deserve it.

Whether you’re here for a week, a weekend, or just popping in for lunch, we promise the countryside, and the food, will stay with you.

See you soon. Boots muddy, appetite ready.Book your table
